New Need For Speed Game Revealed – Need For Speed: The Run

The Need for Speed franchise was getting a bit too dull in the recent past, but EA cleverly handed Criterion Games the job of making a reboot in the series to stir up interest in the minds of gamers, which Criterion Games indeed succeeded in doing. But that doesn’t mean Black Box will no longer make Need for Speed games, because hey – there’s a new one coming out in November 2011!

On April 29, the official Need for Speed Twitter account made a tweet where in they revealed the next game in the franchise. Here’s the tweet:

Be sure to read the last few words of the tweet, where it says “more news tomorrow”. Another interesting news snippet is that Black Box’s new game will be running on DICE’s acclaimed Frostbite 2 engine. That will surely add some oomph to the game, right?
