Most Uncharted fans will be relieved after hearing this: Naughty Dog has no plans of ditching the Uncharted series. Apart from the fact that it’s a money-spinner for Naughty Dog, it seems we will be seeing sequels in the series mainly because the development team has an insatiable appetite for the thrill of overcoming technical hurdles.
In an interview with the Edge magazine, game director Justin Richmond said: “But one good thing is that we feel we’re not done with Drake yet; we haven’t done all we wanted to do, and there are still technical hurdles and goals we want to get over, and do even more stuff in gameplay… We’re very cogniscent of the legacy of what Drake is, and that every game should advance the story and the genre.”
Sony has confirmed that Uncharted 3 will be playable in stereoscopic 3D – a technical feat many game companies are trying to achieve – some being very successful at it.
And in other news, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Williams praised and congratulated the Molecules ( the team behind LittleBigPlanet ) about LittleBigPlanet 2 receiving highly commendable scores from major gaming websites. He tweeted: “Congratulations @mediamolecule, @mmalex and @siobhanreddyfor the amazing reviews of #lbp2. You guys rock! Can’t wait to get my hands on it!”
